Two Weeks Into Applying…

I’ve done everything but my essays and rewording the descriptions for my activities, which is still taking up a ton of time. I took my lab final today for biology, and will take the lecture final tomorrow. This means that I need to get my essays done ASAP, so that I can apply when my grade comes in.

I’ve sent all my transcripts except for this summer class, sent my GRE scores (why are they so expensive?), and filled out the whole PTCAS application.

However, one of my letter writers has not been in contact with me. I’ve sent two emails, and left a voicemail earlier today. This is frustrating, especially since I don’t have a backup. It’s not too big of a deal, but four of the ten programs that I’m applying to have rolling admissions, so I hope he will reply to me soon. He usually replied within 24 hours when I had questions during class, so this is strange. I’m thinking that he went on vacation.

I’ll be going to San Francisco this weekend though! One friend is driving to Iowa for law school and the other is going to Alaska for a while, so I’m excited to see them, but also sad that I won’t see them again for a long time.

What took you the longest to complete on your PTCAS application? Do you have any tips to share?
